Penny Hammrich Teacher Recognition Program: McNichol ECE Lab

During my second year at Drexel University, I served as a lab member in the McNichol Early Childhood Education (ECE) Lab. I also operated as the Chair of the McNichol Early Childhood Education (ECE) Lab Teacher Recognition Program Committee. As a committee chair, I spearheaded the initiative to invite local PreK-4 principals to nominate teachers who demonstrate excellence in social-emotional learning (SEL) with their students.

My team and I then planned and executed the McNichol ECE Lab end-of-year gala and awards ceremony, where we celebrated the teachers who had been nominated and subsequently awarded.
